Joe is founder and Managing Director of Westover Strategic Advisors. He serves as a consulting CFO to a broad range of start-up ventures, assisting early-stage growth companies and provides C-Level advice and analysis to CEOs and their Boards. He likes to leverage his experience with capital raises, strategic pivots, and turnarounds. He enjoys helping innovators and entrepreneurs achieve financial success across many verticals, and has recently focused his efforts on fintech and healthcare services companies. He is also an active angel investor.

Background: Joe is a senior financial and operating executive with more than 30 years’ experience with both small early-stage private companies and larger publicly traded firms. He has a strong background in developing business plans and financial models to project future growth to assist obtaining debt and equity financing. Led capital and fundraising activities for a VC backed startup technology company. Closed on Series A financing round and secured a credit facility with a venture bank. Led the M&A process to find a strategic buyer that resulted in a successful exit. Other areas of expertise include: Cash flow management, board presentations, corporate governance, M&A and exit planning.

Experience: Prior to his consulting engagements Joe held senior financial and operating positions with health care services, software, information services and consumer products companies. He served as CFO of WellcomeMD an early stage Health Care Services/Concierge Medical Company, CFO of Drive Factor, an $8 million VC Backed start-up insurance technology company; Managing Director and CFO of Greenwich Associates, a $100 million privately held professional services firm; Vice President and General Manager of Prentice Hall Legal & Financial Services, a $55 million business unit of Viacom; CFO of a $100 million software & information services division of Simon & Schuster Publishing Company; VP of Corporate Development of Lone Star Industries, a $1 billion NYSE construction materials company. Earlier in his career, Joe held senior financial positions with Exxon Corporation and Schering-Plough Corporation, a $12 Billion NYSE Pharmaceutical, Health Care and Consumer Products Company.
